RSSAdults and young people from churches across Bedford and the UK will be working together to provide a completely free family fun day on August 3rd 2-5pm at Longholme Way Circus Site, Bedford. The event, called ‘Re:Act’, has been organised in collaboration with Urban Saints, and will involve live entertainment, a bouncy castle, a barbecue, face painting and more. All are welcome to come along.
Most of those taking part in organising the day are volunteers, and many of the young people involved will be on a residential trip that includes running six of these days in different towns around the UK. Chris Johnson, one of the event organisers, said, “It looks like the day will be a fantastic opportunity for local people to come along and see the church working together and doing something positive for everyone in the community.”
None of the events on the day will be charged for, including the food and drink. After the fun day activities have finished at 5pm, an open air service will take place at 5:30pm, which people are welcome to stay for, if they like.
